Paint that looks right up close

Interior painting is often the last step after a repair and sometimes the whole job: a bedroom before a move, a hallway full of scuffs, a ceiling after a leak. In every case the result depends on preparation more than paint.

Furniture is moved and covered, holes and dents are filled, cracks are taped rather than caulked over, and repairs are spot-primed. Then edges are cut in by hand and walls are rolled in two coats. Because FixInch also does drywall, damaged walls are fixed properly as part of the same visit.

    What we paint

Why new paint peels, flashes or shows stains

Paint problems usually come from underneath. Water stains bleed through standard paint unless sealed. Unprimed patches look dull next to the rest of the wall — painters call it flashing. Glossy trim that is not sanded lets the new coat peel off.

Preparation takes time, but it is the difference between a room that looks good for a week and one that looks good for years.

    Trim and doors

Trim gets a light sanding and a semi-gloss or satin finish, cut in by hand for a straight line against the wall.

    Dark to light colors

Covering a deep color with a light one may need a tinted primer and an extra coat. We price that in from your photos.

How long does it take to paint a room?

An average bedroom with walls and trim is usually one day, more if there are many repairs or a strong color change. Ceilings and doors add time. You get the schedule with the price.

    How it works

    Measured before we start

    1. Send photos

Two or three photos of the wall, door or floor and a line about what you want done. A tape measure in the shot helps.

    2. Get the price

Pavlo texts you a clear price and the earliest date he can come. If something can only be judged in person, he says so up front.

    3. Fixed and cleaned up

Neat work at the agreed time, the room left swept. Pay by cash, check or Zelle when it is done.

Pavlo responded immediately and offered to come give an estimate within the first few days. He started the job a few days later. We needed partial walls replaced, wall repairs and painting. We had water damage and needed the walls repaired after remediation. He did a flawless job and even put our picture hangers back after painting. He was neat, on time and showed up when expected. The walls look great and I'm glad we found someone who offered a great price, did the work in a timely manner and made the room look great!
