Ceilings need their own approach
Ceiling repair is drywall work done overhead, and it shows mistakes more than any wall: light from windows rakes across the surface and picks out every ridge. One of our customers had a ceiling crack that, in their words, disappeared completely after the repair — that is the standard.
We repair cracks along seams, stains and soft spots from roof or bathroom leaks, nail pops, and sagging sections. We also remove popcorn texture and leave a smooth ceiling ready for paint.
What's included
- Ceiling repair of cracks along seams and corners
- Leak stains sealed with stain-blocking primer
- Soft or sagging sections cut out and replaced
- Nail pops reset
- Popcorn texture scraped, skim-coated and sanded smooth
- Ceiling texture matched where kept
- Whole ceiling painted for an even finish
- Furniture and floors covered
Why ceiling cracks keep coming back
A crack that returns after every paint job is almost always an untaped or poorly taped seam. The ceiling board moves slightly with temperature and with the floor above, and paint alone cannot bridge that movement. Opening the crack, taping it and feathering compound wide is what holds.
Stains are the other common call. A brown ring on the ceiling means water came through at some point. Once the leak is fixed and the board is dry and firm, the stain is sealed — ordinary paint lets it bleed straight back through.
Sagging ceilings
A sag means the board has pulled off its fasteners or been weakened by water. It is cut out and replaced rather than screwed back up.
Popcorn removal and asbestos
Popcorn ceilings in older homes can contain asbestos. A sample must be tested before scraping; [ASK PAVLO] how testing is arranged. Tested, asbestos-free texture is wetted, scraped, skim-coated and sanded smooth.
How long does popcorn removal take?
An average room is usually two to three days: scraping and first skim coat, then further coats, sanding, primer and paint. The room is masked floor to ceiling during the work, so plan to empty it as far as possible.
How it works
Measured before we start
1. Send photos
Two or three photos of the wall, door or floor and a line about what you want done. A tape measure in the shot helps.
2. Get the price
Pavlo texts you a clear price and the earliest date he can come. If something can only be judged in person, he says so up front.
3. Fixed and cleaned up
Neat work at the agreed time, the room left swept. Pay by cash, check or Zelle when it is done.

FAQ
Common questions
Do you fix the roof leak?
No — the leak must be repaired first. We fix the ceiling once it is dry.
Is popcorn removal messy?
Yes, which is why the room is fully masked and the texture is wetted to keep dust down. We clean up when the job is done.
Can you just paint over a stain?
Not with ordinary paint. The stain is sealed with a stain-blocking primer first.
