Door installation and repair, from slab to strike plate
Door installation and repair covers more than swapping a slab. A door works only when the opening is square, the hinges carry the weight, and the latch meets the strike every time. Doors questions
Should I repair or replace my door?
If the slab is solid and the problem is fit — rubbing, not latching, a gap at the top — an adjustment usually fixes it. Replacement makes sense when the slab is split, warped, or the frame is damaged.
What sizes should I measure?
Width and height of the slab, the thickness, and which side the hinges are on. For a prehung unit, also the rough opening once the casing is off — we can measure that for you.
Do you supply the doors?
